One of the benefits I really enjoy about being where we are in SoCal is being able to get to the beach in less than a half an hour. The beach has always been so peaceful to me, especially at night when the salty fishermen are at the end of the pier. Sometimes you can get some fun stories out of them.
The waves that afternoon were especially large, the whole pier would rumble when they came by.
